A sick little boy, a middle of the night trip to the ER, days of tears, snot, and coughing.
THEN. . .
This sweet little boy hears his sister goofing around on her harmonica and begins to clap and dance as they squeal with laughter together.
Suddenly, this mom forgets all about the sleepless nights and dirty tissues scattered throughout the house. Her evening has become magical, and she would suddenly do it all over again, just to watch this moment.
This is the definition of motherhood.
I know what you mean. It’s a roller coaster! But mostly good. So glad he’s feeling better!

It can only take one small magical moment to make you forget about all the hard work that came before it. Kind of like golf.
Glad he’s on the mend. 🙂

Being a mother to these little ones is hard work. We would easily give up if not for these precious moments to remind us, “Yes, it’s all worth it and more!”

So true!! It is like they somehow know that after a hard day they should do something really cute and make mom feel all better again! 🙂

Yep! Sorry your little guy has been sick. Spring pollen is knocking a few my kids for a loop around here. Blessings.

Aww, so glad he’s better! Isn’t it great how they don’t even have to try to make it up to us? Their delight is our delight. 😀

Yes, it is something I never understood before having kids. Motherhood takes the selfishness right out of you as your driving purpose in life becomes the success and well being of your children. Simply seeing them smile brings me such joy!

Lol this is so true! Some days I’m at my wits end and feel like I can’t take another fit of tears from her and then she LAUGHS…… and I find myself laughing and all the bad has disappeared. Lovely, yet so strange, isn’t it? 🙂

Yes, such a beautiful thing! One sweet moment and I find myself a blubbering mess wishing my babies will never grow up! I think it is these times we will remember later on, the wonderful moments together. This is what compels women to do the insane and have another one. 😉

Today I watched with amazement as my two children really PLAYED together for the first time. My 1 year old would crawl in to the back of a big box they have been playing with, and then my two year old would start to rush in. As soon as she saw him coming in she would rush to the front to “scare” him back out. They giggled and laughed and rolled around together. It was fantastic, and I found myself falling even more in love with my children. (If that is even possible.)

Aw, how adorable!! Our kids are really close to the same age, 1 and 2 as well! There were times at the beginning I questioned myself for having them so close together but when I now watch them playing and laughing together I would not wish for anything different! Your heart melts daily by simply observing their interactions with one another!

So glad to hear your little one is on the mend. Very true and heartwarming. We all experience a new direction in life when becoming a mum, life becomes richer. Motherhood is full of amazing highs and terrifying lows. It’s definitely a long and fulfilling journey and it’s most definitely the highs we’ll all remember and look back on. Such precious moments.
