Hugs, Kisses, & Dirty Diapers NO MORE!!

NAME CHANGE ALERT!!!!!!!!

IMG_2053

Nothing huge, everything remains the same, besides the name!

I started my blog right after my son was born and both kids were still in diapers. I don’t know if “started” is the best word. I created the account and then completely forgot about it until this past March.

NOW I am hooked, addicted, in love. Blogging is such an amazing thing; I do not see myself backing down anytime soon. Hence, the name change.

“Dirty diapers” will be obsolete around my place in about a year from now (fingers crossed), and what sense would the title make then? I wanted to go with something I could keep for the next, say 16 years if I so choose.

MomLife Now

It is a place where I can open up about EACH stage of motherhood.

It is an expression of seeing the miraculous beauty around me right NOW in this adventure called “Mommy.”

I will leave you with some of my favorite search engine terms which found themselves across my former name:

“Very dirty kisses and hugs.” Um, our kisses are pretty glitter and peanut butter dirty. Somehow not exactly what I think this individual was leaning towards though.

“Boy hug his gals n cry love.” Yes, we have a lot of crying and hugs over here. Again, probably not the best result for this guy.

“Two shadows holding hands one much larger.” I really have nothing to say for this one.

“Sasha in diaper.” This one was today, and made me feel quite strange. Good thing the name change is now in place. 🙂

ONE LAST THING: For all you wonderful Facebook and twitter supporters, I have had to create new pages with the new name. Hence, I am down to NO followers. 😦

I would be honored if you would take a quick minute to follow me once again on Twitter  or Facebook!!!

Happy blogging everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this. I will back to my regular postings shortly!IMG_2138

  2. Aren’t the search terms funny? I get a lot of people looking for “birds attacking people”. 😀

  5. I noticed your name change yesterday. Those search engine terms that lead people to your blog are pretty interesting. The ones that I get for my blog are pretty straightforward and boring. I’ll try to get you on Facebook soon (right now my FB is temporarily blocked … long story). Take care, Sasha!

  6. Congratulations on your new life stage (and best wishes for the many to come)! I remember how the diaper phase seemed to last forever and then it was done… a far distant memory now (that I do not often return to).

  8. Congrats on the name change – it’s a big moment. I hope it grows with your family 🙂

As for search terms, I keep thinking there’s a post in there at some stage. I don’t have too many odd ones, but a few that make me laugh. For example, I did a post about French Canadian music a while ago and showed ONE video by a specific artist. There are apparently a number of people out there who want to know if he’s single. I’m tempted to update my blog posting with that answer given I don’t want them to remain uninformed on this obviously important issue…

  9. Makes great sense to me! I’m in! And Sasha…..I think you’re alot like me…you might hate to see the baby years leave, but you’re going to enjoy what comes next even more. I always told my kids, I’ve enjoyed every stage of you even more than the one that came before. it just keeps getting better! (Not always easy, but definitely better!)

    1. Oh, thank you so, so, so much for sharing this with me. Perhaps it has been a long day and I am exhausted and emotional, but reading this just now made me cry with such happiness. I am so in love with my little babes and I often think of how quickly they are growing and my heart just breaks. I NEEDED to hear this–to be told it is only going to get better and better! Thank you!!!

    1. Thank you friend!! You encouragement means so much to me!! I placed the icon in my widgets section. I do not remember how I actually placed it but I remember it was not difficult. 😉 I think there on instructions on the website itself. Hope you figure it out!!

      1. You’re welcome! And thank you… I did it in the widgets and it’s there, it’s just very far down on my page on the phone at least… on a computer it’s higher up but I just feel like it’s not in a very good place but can’t figure out moving it. I’m not good at all the blogger logistics haha

            1. Oh, I think I had misunderstood you. The one you are seeing here I actually pasted at the bottom of the post itself. 🙂

    2. Sorry to “barge in”, but I wanted to help! All you have to do is drag your text widget to the top and it’ll automatically move it up! You can basically arrange your widgets in the order you want simply by dragging them. I hope this helps and yay for joining TMB!

      1. Oh yay! Thank you!!! I did do that so it shows up higher on the computer, it’s just still at the bottom on my phone but I guess I can’t change that. If I remember I copy and paste one into the bottom of new posts to make it easier, but idk if it’s helping haha. Thanks so much for the recommendation and help! You girls are awesome!

  11. 🙂 I’ve actually been wondering about the name and how it was going to continue to “apply” as time went on. This is a good move for you because you are a fantastic writer and I’m glad you are in it for the long haul.

  12. Terrific, Sasha! It looks simply terrific. I love the new thoughts behind your restructuring and believe it will serve you wonderfully well during the next many years of mothering. I miss those days of pretty glitter kisses and peanut buttered faces, and will have to live vicariously through you for a heartfelt reminder of those touching stages.
Cheers to one great Mom, who is living in the moment. 🙂
