1. I do not wake up with my husband to make him bacon and eggs and wish him a good day of work.
2. I do not get a thrill out of cleaning my house.
3. I do not spend my days baking cookies and making lemonade.
4. June Cleaver is not my idol, and I do not wear pearls when vacuuming.
5. I do not watch soap operas.
6. I am not completely out of touch with the real world.
7. I do have a college degree.
8. I can talk about things other than my children.
9. I am not wasting away in utter boredom.
10. My title may be “stay at home,” but that is not what I do all day.
11. I do not feel unfulfilled in not having a “real job.”
12. I do not think working moms are the enemy. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Yes, no one is the enemy! Also, I really love the way you juxtapose the photos with the text. It’s unique and almost makes me think of a voice over on a movie. Does that make sense? Anyway it’s great. And beautiful photos, too. (Yum!)

Thanks, I love to hear that!! And they were muffins out the box–just add water. Not bad though if you’re ever wanting a quick treat for the little ones!

A little sanity on that last count would do the world wonders.
I do feel completely out of touch with the real world sometimes, but I’m with you on the pearls. (Maybe I could get a set and wear them, like, ironically?)

Hi Sasha, I really enjoyed your myth list. I was, and will soon be again, a stay-at-hime-dad, and think that the myths are much the same for SAHDs.
Lovely blog.

Thanks Shane, and way to go dad! I think this world would be a much better place if more dads would choose to play such a vital role in their children’s lives!
